Obituary for
Paul Chilton
Paul Vernon Chilton, 84, of Overland, MO, formerly of Des Arc, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Stone Bridge Nursing Home in Maryland Heights. He was born May 6, 1932, to the late, Andrew Chilton and Pearl Stevens Chilton in Des Arc, MO.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by six brothers, Nelson Chilton, Bill Chilton, Donald Chilton, Ed Chilton, Fred Chilton, and Carl Chilton.
Paul is survived by his wife Diane Schaefer Chilton of Overland, MO; one son, Michael Chilton and his wife Jennie, of Overland, MO; a daughter, Lisa Chilton of Overland, MO, and three grandchildren, Ashley Chilton, April Chilton, and Josh Chilton. Other survivors include one brother, Ben Chilton of Farmington; four sisters, Norma Jean Toney of Piedmont, MO; Mae Sutton of St. Louis, MO; Betty L. Kottkamp, and Linda Lewis and her husband Homer of Vulcan, MO; two step- grandchildren, Austin Taylor and Katy Taylor, and two step-great-grandchildren, Addison Mendes and Brynlee Taylor.
Paul worked as a concrete truck driver for many years. He was a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church.
Visitation was held at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO, Friday, July 29, 2016, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral Services immediately followed at 12:00 PM, also at the Piedmont Chapel. Burial was at Mt. View Cemetery. Pastor Pete Ruble ministered to the family. Michael Paul Chilton, Homer Lewis, Benny Chilton, Bobby Kirkpatrick, Pete Ruble, and Alex Ruegg served as pallbearers.
