Mary Christine Williams (Stevenson)
Mary “Christine” Williams, 93, or Florissant, Mo, formerly a longtime resident of Silva, MO, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2016, at Delmar Gardens North, Florissant, MO.
On July 20, 1945, Christine married Ted W. Williams and he preceded in death on March 15, 2016.
Christine is survived by one son, Michael R. Williams and wife Cyndi of St. Louis, MO; one daughter, Marcia A. Fetters and husband Mickie of St. Louis, MO; one daughter in law, Marietta Williams, of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren, and seven great-grand -children.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents Harford Stevenson and Alpha Stevenson nee’ Meadors; one son, Theodore J. Williams; two brothers, Frank “Bus” Stevenson and Lynus Stevenson; four sisters, Bessie Jaco, Pauline Steward, Fern Benton, and Wanda Swafford.
Christine was a loving mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker and enjoyed attending church at New Hope General Baptist Church, Silva, MO. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening.
Visitation wias held at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, Friday, November 11, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 1:00 pm, at New Hope General Baptist Church. Burial was held at Corinth Cemetery at Lowndes. Pastor Dan Ross ministered to the family. The New Hope Church Choir provided the music for the service. Brett Williams, Chris Williams, Stan Swafford, Bill McBride, Larry Morie, and Dennis Steward served as pallbearers.
