Roger Dale Bollinger
Roger Dale Bollinger, 70, of Silva, MO, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 4, 1946, to the late, Garland Bollinger and Abby Warrick in Silva, MO.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Benita Bollinger nee’ Connell, one brother, Nathaniel Bollinger, and three sisters, Faye Bollinger, Teresa Shaw, and Marie Thornburgh.
He is survived by, one daughter Mickey and her husband Paul Gurney of Silva, MO; three brothers, Walter “Blair” Bollinger and his wife Uvonne of Shook, MO, Norman Bollinger and his wife Linda of Greenville, MO, and Phillip Bollinger of Mt. Vernon, IL; two sisters, Margie Bollinger of Clubb, MO and Wady Belle and her husband Tom Barber of Patterson, MO; and one grandchild, Misty Hill of Gideon, MO, one great-grandchild, Johnny Hill, and many nieces and nephews.
Roger worked as a pallet nailer at a pallet mill for many years. When he wasn’t busy working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cutting wood.
He was a member of New Liberty Jacktown General Baptist Church in Silva, MO.
Visitation was held Monday, February 27, 2017, at New Liberty Jacktown General Baptist Church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral services began at 11:00 am also at the church. Pastor Kenny Burchard ministered to the family. Joe Eads, Clayton Leach, Paul Gurney, Tyler Wilfong, and Meheonemashea White served as pallbearers.
