Glen Seals
Glen Seals, 79, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, at Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont, MO. Glen was born July 16, 1937 to parents Harvey Mack and Maggie Hill Seals on Otter Creek near Piedmont, MO. Glen attended school at Williamsville and graduated in 1955. In 1960 he was drafted into the United States Army and served two years being honorably discharged in 1962.
On November 16, 1962 he married Lois Hope Waites and to this union four children were born. They were married thirty-one years before her passing on Oct. 27, 1993.
He later married Zane Watson on March 19, 1999.
Glen worked for Brown Shoe Company in Piedmont, MO, for nearly thirty years as a shipping clerk and was an avid farmer.
He was known by many as kind and generous. He was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed working on his farm caring for the cows, gardening, and helping his nephew Ed Lunyou who was like a brother.
He was a Christian and a member of Mt Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church for over sixty-seven years. He was a wonderful example of a Christian man.
Glen is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Zane; three daughters, Sharon McCartney and husband Jim of Dixon, MO, Glynis Clayton and husband Steve of Science Hill, KY, Dana Robins and husband Clint of Bossier City, LA; one son, Jason Seals and wife Andrea of Piedmont, MO; two step children, John Watson of Farmington, MO, Jeff Watson and wife Lisa of Boise, ID; eight grandchildren, Sarah Parks, Tasha Parks, Kayla Simpson, Christopher Seals, Jeremiah Robins, Benjamin Robins, Alivea Seals-Giovando, Anna Robins; three great-granddaughters, Nova O’Dell, Aubree Shipman, and Braelynn Simpson; seven step-grandchildren, Tara Watson, Dalton Watson, Jodi Watson, Nathaniel Stevenson, Tyler Stevenson, Noah Watson, Esther Watson; and one sister, Verlie Holden, of Eureka, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lois; two brothers, Lee Seals and Paul Seals; five sisters, Inez Walker, Opal Lunyou, Wilma Allen, Pauline Holden, Shirley Palmer; and one step-son Kevin Watson.
Visitation was held Sunday, March 26, 2017, from 12:00-4:00 P.M., at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Services followed at the chapel at 4:00 P.M. Burial was held with military honors at Duncan Cemetery near Piedmont. Reverend Kevin Kinnard ministered to the family. Shane Seals, John Lunyou, Andy Moss, Zane Seals, Jason Carter, Brad Libla, Craig Seals, and Nick Libla served as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
