Robert Declue
Robert DeClue, 54, also known as "airbrakes" and "Roberto" by close friends at the highway shed, of Mill Spring, MO, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1962, to James E. DeClue and Patsy S. DeClue nee’ Cravens, in St. Louis, MO.
He was a loving husband to Lisa for thirty-one and a half years, she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Patsy DeClue and companion Tim Young of Piedmont; his brother, James and his wife Sandy DeClue of Patterson; nieces and nepews, Devin Tucker, Lonnon Russell, Mallory Tucker, Courtney DeClue, Sierra Crites, Tiffany Moyers, Jordan Crites, Tabitha Moyers, Taj Morris, Kailyn Crites, Amaya Callahan, and A.J. Duncan; great nephews, Tristan Russell and Remington Russell; Mother-in-law Deanna and her husband Donnie Allen, sisters-in-law, Cindy and her husband Jebediah Morris of Cape Girardeau; and Terica and her husband Justin Moyers of Williamsville; and Brother-in-law Jason Klipfel and his companion Jessy Magill.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Robert worked as a laborer for the State Highway Department for many years until retirement on July 31, 2014. He loved deer hunting, fishing, driving fast cars and attending church gatherings.
He attended and was a member of United Baptist Church in Piedmont.
Robert will be remembered for his big heart and will be missed by many. Robert would say to the people he would meet before parting "I'll see you sometime."
Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 2:00pm Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Ruegg Funeral home, Piedmont, MO. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 pm Sunday, also at the Piedmont Chapel.
