Alta Nadine Walters
Alta Nadine Walters, 55, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away August 29, 2017, at her residence. She was born December 23, 1961, to the late Jerome Nelson Politte and Phyllis (Vining) Politte in St. Louis, MO.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her sister Judith Ann Thomas.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Frederick Walters of the home; her mother Phyllis Marcrum of St. Louis, MO; one son Bernard Weigel of Victorville, CA; one daughter Sarah Politte and her spouse William of St. Louis, MO; five brothers David Marcrum and his wife Vicki, Robert Marcrum, Ricky Marcrum, James Silvia, all of St. Louis, MO, and Joseph Marcrum of AZ; and nine grandchildren Breanna Weigel, Amy Weigel, Miranda Weigel, James Voges, Lucas Voges, Lydia Voges, Vivianna Voges, Lillian Politte, and Lian Politte.
Alta worked as a CNA for many years. She and her husband lived in Missouri and Illinois. They bought a home and lived in Pinckneyville, IL, for the last 12 years. Alta has always considered her home in Missouri. She loved coming to Piedmont to vacation and visit her uncle Kenneth Wayne Politte. She loved her family and friends dearly.
Visitation was held, Friday, September 1, 2017, from 12:00pm- 2:00pm at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, MO. Funeral services began at 2:00pm also at the Greenville chapel. Burial was at George Twidwell Cemetery in Silva, MO. Rev. John Kelleher ministered to the family.
