Obituary for Gary John Trapp

Gary John  Trapp
Gary John Trapp, 75, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born September 7, 1941, to the late, Robert Lee Trapp and Kathrine (Brandon) Trapp, in St. Louis, MO.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lee Trapp Jr.; one sister, Carol Trapp; and one nephew, Robert Lee Trapp III.
Gary is survived by his wife of 39 years, Norma Trapp; one son, Jerry Craig Sheppard and his wife Heather of Jeffersonville, VT; three daughters, Kathy Veasey and her husband Tim of Russelville, AR; Michele Anderson and her husband Mark of Rockport, TX; and Dana Brown and her husband Aaron of Fenton, MO; one nephew, Steve Trapp of St. Louis, MO; fifteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He worked as a Journeyman in the Sheetmetal Department at McDonell-Douglas for twenty years, then attended St. Louis Christian College and became a minister. He has been the minister at Mill Spring Christian Church for ten years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and gunsmithing. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation was held Sunday, September 3, 2017, from 4:30-8:00 pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Services followed Monday, September 4, 2017, at 11:00 am, also at the chapel. Rev. Mike Pabarcus and Rev. Wayne Street ministered to the family. Matt Andrews, Jimmy Andrews, Wesley Smith, Eric Smith, Kevin Smith, Laniel Crutchfield, Justin Bachand, and Brandon Luke served as pallbearers.
