Obituary for
Donna M. Wood
Donna Marie Wood, 85, also known as "Little Ma" of Williamsville, MO, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017, at her residence. She was born September 5, 1932, to parents Arthur and Ruth (Barnes) Hibbs in Hebron, IN. After living in Hebron in her early childhood years, her family moved near Ellsinore, MO, during her teenage years. She spent most of her adult years living in Wayne County, near Keener Springs. On July 19, 1950, she married Hollis Wood, and seven children were born to this union.
Donna had worked many years as a homemaker in several residences in Wayne County. She was a strong Christian and was a past member of Black River Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Donna never met a stranger. She was a mother and grandmother to many in the community and will be greatly missed.
Donna is survived by her children, Michael Wood and wife Rebecca of Williamsville, Gary Wood and wife Tonya of Farmington, Rex "Bo" Wood and wife Katherine of Poplar Bluff, Jackie Dean Wood of Williamsville, Larry Dale "Cocky" Wood and wife Peggy of Williamsville, Laura "Penny" Strange and husband John of Williamsville; fourteen grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, one son, Bill Wood; two grandsons, Christopher Wood and Anthony Wood; one great granddaughter, Katlyn Wood; one brother, Darrell Hibbs; and one sister, Harriet Hibbs.
Visitation was held Monday, September 11, 2017, at 5:00 pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Williamsville, MO. Services were held at the Williamsville chapel Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 11:00 am.
