Carl Monroe Clubb
Carl Monroe Clubb, 88, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Florissant, MO, and Wayne County, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born January 8, 1929, in Greenville, MO, to the late John F. Clubb and Fannie B. (Allen) Clubb.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances (Garner) Clubb; one daughter, Carla Clubb; one brother, Franklin “Joe” Clubb; and two sisters, Ruby White and Betty Fox.
Carl is survived by one son, Perry Dees of Poplar Bluff, MO; one daughter, Pam Kelly of Florissant, MO; three brothers, Clyde Clubb of Rockford, IL, Roy “Leon” Clubb and his wife Dorothy of Greenville, MO, and James “Leroy” Clubb of Maplewood, MO; one sister Rosetta Vandergriff of Greenville, MO; one grandchild, Crystal Hicks and her husband Eric, and seven great-grandchildren, Summer, A.J., Kayla, Abby, Madelyn, Eric, and Evan.
Carl faithfully served his country for seven years in the US Marine Corps. He worked as a paint formulator for many years in St. Louis, MO.
Carl was a very kind and simple man who enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Visitation was held Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, MO. Funeral services were Friday, October 6, 2017, at 11:00 am also at the Greenville Chapel. Burial was at Greenville Cemetery. Bro. Willis Smith ministered to the family. Jerry Clubb, Rickey Clubb, Don White, Larry Vandergriff, Robbie Vandergriff, Jimmy Fox, and A.J.
