Obituary for
Margaret Doris Schubert
Margaret Doris Aurea Schubert, 72, of Holcomb, MO, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, at her weekend home near Lake Wappapello, MO. She was born November 25, 1944 to parents John and Helen (Koski) Okker.
Margaret was united in marriage to Carl E. Schubert Jr. on November 21, 1964, and together they shared 52 wonderful years together. She was the backbone of her family and her loss is unimaginable. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
For over thirty years she served her community as a librarian at the Dunklin County Library, Holcomb Branch.
She was a Christian.
In addition to her husband she is survived by son, Carl E. Schubert III of Holcomb, MO; daughters, Kim Hickson and husband Andy of Campbell, MO, Kathy McElwrath and companion David Leadbetter, Karla Martin and husband Jim and Kristy Schubert all of Holcomb, MO; grandchildren, Erica Sinko, Todd Sinko and wife Stephanie, Kevin Sinko, Kristen McElwarth, Chelsea McElwrath, Kyle McElwrath, Connor
McElwrath, Carson McElwrath and Caeden Schubert; great-grandchildren, Ryland Bray Fisher, Myla Ryanne Fisher, Lyndi Kaye Hubbard, Juliet Jo Sinko, Stacie Ann Sinko, Jamie Trepen, Alaina Dawn Wilhite,
Skyler Burr, Parker McElwrath; brother, Johnny Okker of CT; sister, Elvira Brooks of San Diego, CA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by great-grandson, Brayden Lee Fisher; sisters, Irene Bartlett and Mildred Burrows.
Visitation was held, Friday, November 17, 2017, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Crosspointe Church in Campbell, MO. Funeral services were also held Friday at Crosspointe Church, beginning at 11:00 am. She was buried at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO. Pastor Randy Vaughn ministered to the family. Todd Sinko, Kyle McElwrath, Connor McElwrath, Bob Kelly, Carson McElwrath, David Leadbetter, Matt McNay, Robbie Schubert,Carl "Budd" Schubert, and Matthew Schubert served as pallbearers.
