Obituary for Sue McCormack

Sue McCormack
Nelma "Sue" McCormack, age 69, of Des Arc, MO passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was born to the late Rudy Littrell and Velma Cates Littrell September 5, 1948. Sue moved to St. Louis at a young age and later to Branson, MO where she married Dale McCormack, her best friend and the love of her life in 1996.
Sue and Dale owned and managed Ozark Productions in Branson for many years until Dale retired and they moved to Farmington, Missouri. Sue worked in St. Francois County for several years for Missouri Home Health Care Program where she spent her time tending to, loving and enjoying those she worked with as well as those she served.
Sue became an active member in the community of Des Arc, MO after moving there in 2010. She was a friend to all she met, and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Des Arc, Missouri. Family and friends were Sue's passion and delight, embroidering was her hobby, and God was her hope.
As a little girl Sue played/picked cotton in the fields of Success, Arkansas. She was the youngest of nine children and maintained many memories of a loving family. Sue was proceeded in death by parents, Rudy Littrell and Velma Cates Littrell; four brothers: Noil Littrell, Amos Littrell, Hal Littrell, and Linden Littrell; and three sisters: Syble Waller, Mavis Adams, and Jane Million. Sue is survived by her husband, Earnest Dale McCormack, one brother, Elmer Littrell of Doniphan, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Frank McCormack and wife Carol of Arnold, MO; and two sisters-in-law: Mildred Littrell of Doniphan and Edith Littrell of Piedmont, MO. She also leaves behind too many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends to list or even count.
Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor, Sue was well loved. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, and laughter will never be forgotten.
Visitation was held Friday, December 8, 2017, at 5:00 pm, at First Assembly of God Church, Des Arc, MO. Funeral Services followed at the church at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 9, 2017. Pastors Zach Hindman and Shane Whitacre ministered to the family. Recorded music was provided. Donnie Wright, Chuck Cooley, Daniel Cooley, Brandon Sullivan, Trevor Million, and Elmer Gene Littrell served as pallbearers. Burial followed at Three Rivers Cemetery near Farmington, MO.
